What was the point of the story with the brainwashed monkeys? Why don’t men find it normal to approach women they are attracted to? What’s the connection to the monkeys?
The monkeys beat up the one who tries to get the banana. In the beginning there was a reason: the cold water. But later none of the monkeys knew about the water. What remained was the fear of being beaten up. There was no reason anymore.
Men fear approaching women and the fear is even bigger if the woman is better looking. They don’t know exactly why. Maybe awkwardness, fear of rejection, or fear of being judged. Even though it’s not really dangerous. Nothing really serious can happen. And nothing even more serious can happen if the woman looks better. So why this fear?
