Selfish Men Are Sexy
In the last post (we feel when we meet the right partner) I said that as a result of evolution we mastered the skill of recognizing a partner with good genes. We don’t even have to think about it. We feel it immediately.
In this post I’d like to examine which emotions are triggered by which behavior. I only observe men’s behavior and women’s feelings.
If the behavior of a man supports the woman’s genes to be passed to the next generation then the woman will want that man. Because her goal is to pass her own genes along. She doesn’t “want” this consciously but the genes of women that behave like this will spread more than the ones of women that do not.
What behaviors of men support the women’s genes to be passed along?
1. He does something that helps his own genes.
2. He does something that helps her genes.
The first behavior is only about the man. He is in a way and he does things that have only to do with himself. This has nothing to do with the woman. He only cares about how he can reproduce. He has sex with as many women as possible. He is strong and dominant. He protects himself and assures his own survival. He is selfish. He doesn’t care about the women. He doesn’t listen to the women. He doesn’t do her favors. He does his own thing. He does what he wants.
The second behavior is about things the man does for the woman. He cares about the woman and the kid, not about himself. He is faithful he takes care of the family. He is the caring provider. He does listen to the woman. He pays the bills. He fulfills her wishes. He serves her.
If you think about those two behaviors it’s obvious that a woman would want the caring attributes in a man. It’s not so obvious with the selfish attributes. But the selfish behavior is helping his genes, so it would also help hers. So she “wants” him.
What feelings do these behaviors trigger in women?
The selfish behavior of men triggers sexual attraction. Women are attracted to selfish and dominant men.
The caring behavior of men triggers the feeling of comfort. Women like nice caring men.
Now the following becomes obvious: “to like someone” and “to feel sexually attracted to someone” are two entirely different things!
You might ask which one of those attributes is more important. Another time… The most important for now is to understand that women want selfish and dominant men and not just nice and caring ones.

THis is retarded! Women hate men who are selfish. Only young girls with low selfesteem date them. Women begin to realize in their twenties that a selfish man is usually one who has nothing to offer emotionally or sexually. And most dont want to waste the best years of their youth sleeping wiht a selfish fool. U must be around very stupid and insecure women to have come to this conclusion - either that or u have some deepseated sexism that prevents u from seeing the truth.
Hey Sameena, thanks for your comment. I’m not sure whether you read more than the title. I’m suggesting that there are two kinds of behaviors. One generates the feeling of attraction and the other the feeling of comfort. Both are required.
